Enzyme / Protein and Analytical Services
Prozomix offers the following tailor-made enzyme / protein and analytical services (for any queries, please contact 
technical@prozomix.com):
(1) Custom-made Enzyme Service - New
Prozomix offers a unique custom-made enzyme service to provide 100 mg of any* purified recombinant enzyme for just US$675 / €530! A specific enzyme(s) can be identified by the customer, or a choice of targets (generated by bioinformatics searches and from the literature) suggested by Prozomix free-of-charge. In all cases, the following conditions will apply:
1. Where it is decided by Prozomix that it is not possible to provide 100 mg of the enzyme within 8 weeks, no charge will apply, and the customer will be informed immediately
2. Generally the enzyme will be available after 4-6 weeks, however, where certain technical issues are experienced, up to 8 weeks (total elapsed time) may be required to complete the service
3. Most enzyme assays will be performed free-of-charge in order to confirm enzyme activity before shipping. However, where an associated enzyme assay is either prohibitively expensive, or for technical or safety reasons can not be performed at Prozomix, a solution (e.g. a specific substrate is provided to Prozomix by the customer) will be negotiated before service work commences
4. This service is offered for enzymes of prokaryotic origin only, or from other higher organisms where agreed in writing (please contact technical@prozomix.com)
*5. The offer of 100 mg for US$675 / €530 is for enzymes of up to 30 kDa in size. An additional charge of US$75 / €60 applies for larger enzymes per extra 10 kDa of molecular mass (i.e. 100 mg of a 50 kDa enzyme would be US$675 / €530 + (2 x US$75 / €60) = US$825 / €650)
6. The service is for 100 mg of purified recombinant enzyme ONLY, and in particular:
i. No clone/plasmid will be provided to the customer (all such materials will be the sole property of Prozomix at all stages of the service, and after the service has been provided). However, for an additional consideration of US$1500 / €1175, the clone can be purchased at any later date
ii. No enzyme production information will be provided (unless the clone has been purchased additionally as described above)
iii. After the service has been completed, the enzyme will be added to the general Prozomix product database, where other pack sizes will also become available in addition to 100 mg for US$675 / €530 (specifically 1 mg for US$15 / €11.9 and 10 mg for US$112 / €83.3). Note: all subsequent proceeds from the sale of the enzyme will belong entirely to Prozomix

(2) Bespoke Enzyme / Protein Services
Where the above "Custom-made Enzyme Service" does not meet your exact requirements, a bespoke and totally flexible purified enzyme / protein discovery / production service is also available from Prozomix. This tailor-made service is offered for native and recombinant enzymes / proteins from any origin.
As this is a totally bespoke service, the guide price per clone reduces significantly for multiple simultaneous targets as follows:

The guide prices indicated are in USD($), EURO(€) and GBP(£) and the service levels are defined as follows:
a. 100 mg of target enzyme as either whole cells or unpurified cell-free extract (CFE), and details of the enzyme (microbial source, amino acid sequence, associated literature)
b. 100 mg of purified enzyme, and details of the enzyme (microbial source, amino acid sequence, associated literature)
c. NON-EXCLUSIVE to client - 100 mg of purified enzyme and the expression construct (with all necessary protein expression / purification protocols), and all details of the enzyme (microbial source, amino acid sequence, associated literature, etc)
d. EXCLUSIVE to client - 100 mg of purified enzyme and the expression construct (with all necessary protein expression / purification protocols), and all details of the enzyme (microbial source, amino acid sequence, associated literature, etc)
How your project might look:
Step 1. Customer sends email to technical@prozomix.com detailing the desired quantity and activity of enzyme required, and any other details:
e.g. Please provide a quote for the production of 100 mg of a secondary alcohol dehydrogenase (not from L. brevis)
Step 2. Within 24 hours, email sent back to customer with various options and prices (communication at any stage can be either by email, telephone conversation, fax, or where appropriate a meeting at your location in person):
e.g. We can offer you 100 mg of a secondary alcohol dehydrogenase that is either 91 %, 73 %, 49 % or 35 % identical to the enzyme from L. brevis. In each case, the lead time will be 4-8 weeks, and the price would be dependent on the level of service required (see table, i.e. either a, b, c, or d)
Step 3. Customer chooses level of service:
e.g. Please quote for 100 mg of both the 73 % and 35 % identical targets as CFEs.
Step 4. Within 24 hours, email sent back to customer with detailed quote and prices:
e.g. The total price for the two enzymes will be US$1350 / €1060 x 2 = US$2700 / €2120, less US$150 / €120 discount = US$2550 / €2000.
Step 5. Customer accepts offer by email and receives weekly updates regarding progress of the order. The two enzymes are shipped to the customer (at no further charge) within 6 weeks of the first email being sent.

The value associated with analytical testing performed by Prozomix over other suppliers relates to 10 years experience held by the directors of the company with respect to advanced enzymatic test kit development and application (to the most demanding of test samples, such as red wine, processed foods, fuel, etc, and to the most demanding levels of analyte(s)).

(4) Bespoke Enzymatic Analysis
Where either no current test kit is available, or where existing products fail to perform with critical samples, Prozomix has the experience to either optimise an existing method to overcome the “analytical obstacle”, or develop a completely new / novel method using advanced enzyme technology.
