Biological Function:
Catalyses the dephosphorylation of pNP-phosphate (pNPP), acetyl-phosphate, carbamoyl-phosphate, imido-diphosphate and exhibits a wide specificity for numerous natural sugar phosphates, most notably erythrose-4-phosphate, but also (in order of increasing specific activity): 2-deoxyribose-5-phosphate, glucosamine-6-phosphate, ribulose-5-phosphate, 2-deoxyglucose-6-phosphate,fructose-6-phosphate, glucose-6-phosphate, mannose-6-phosphate, fructose-1,6-bisphosphate, fructose-1-phosphate, ribose-5-phosphate, glucose-1-phosphate, and mannose-1-phosphate.
